January 15, 2007
TAMPA, FL. - Garden Commercial Properties has signed five leases in the second phase of retail development at Market Square at Tampa Palms, a new 300,000 square-foot retail complex located at the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Commerce Palms Drive.
The new tenants represent a vibrant mix of prominent national retailers, according to Michael Gartenberg, Director of Leasing for Short Hills, N.J.-based Garden Commercial Properties. They include Bed, Bath and Beyond and Ross Dress for Less -- both of which have reserved 30,000 sq.-ft. of space AC Moore which will occupy 21,600 sq.-ft., PetSmart with a PetsHotel which has signed on for 27,415 sq.-ft. and a 20,400 sq.-ft Staples.
The new tenants will join BJ’s Wholesale Club which opened a 120,000 sq.-ft facility at Market Square during Fall 2006.
“Several attributes make Market Square attractive to retailers looking to tap into the increasing northeast Tampa market,” says Mr. Gartenberg.
“The power center’s highly-visible and easily accessible location adjacent to Interstate 75 is sure to drive heavy pedestrian activity. It also enables national franchises the opportunity to tap into one of the state’s most thriving retail markets.”
Market Square is located next to a Lowe’s Home Improvement Store and occupies prime retail space along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
