HAZLET, N.J. - Garden Commercial Properties is preparing to begin renovations at Bayshore Plaza, the existing 165,000 square-foot shopping center in Monmouth County, N.J.'s Hazlet Township.

The Short-Hills, N.J.-based developer is converting 56,000 square feet of space at the open-air retail facility to accommodate a new Super Foodtown supermarket, according to Mario Dudzinski, Vice President of Real Estate at Garden Commercial Properties. In addition to storefront and interior improvements, the developer will also upgrade parking areas and lighting.

Bayshore Plaza already features a number of high-profile tenants, including Staples, Party City and McDonald's.

"Garden Commercial strives to build community-friendly shopping plazas that efficiently service the needs of the surrounding area," Mr. Dudzinski confirms. "The addition of Super Foodtown will go a long way towards fulfilling that goal."

"Soon, residents of the surrounding neighborhood will have quick access to a five-star grocery store where they can quickly and efficiently satisfy their everyday needs. Thanks to Super Foodtown, Bayshore Plaza now offers a comprehensive roster of retail outlets to provide a stress-free, one-stop shopping experience."

Bayshore Plaza is located at the intersection of Route 35 and Hazlet Avenue and is accessible from high-volume roadways such as Routes 34, 35, 36, 9, 79 and the Garden State Parkway.

A subsidiary of Garden Homes, based in Short Hills, New Jersey, Garden Commercial Properties owns and manages over 15 million square feet of commercial space, with retail centers located throughout the country.
